The Gloucester Poetry Festival 2019

The Gloucestershire Poetry Society’s Gloucester Poetry Festival comes to Gloucester for a month-long poetry extravaganza.

The festival kicks off on the 30th of September and runs till the 31st of October and features a whole host of poetry talent, from renowned local poets to nationally acclaimed poets and spoken word artists. This year totals an amazing 17 events, including two exclusive book launches, a pop-up event in Burslem, Staffordshire and an exclusive event at The prestigious Olympus Theatre, Gloucester.

As a chief member of the society, I help to brand, market and promote the festival and came up with this years brand theme. I have designed the official guide for the festival, Magic poetry anthology book covers, V20 pamphlet book and cover design as well as managing social media promotion.

This years theme is magic and I wanted to create a striking graphic to attract attention to the festival and its events so the image you see really catches the eye.

As a poet and performer, you can seem me performing at the open mic events and I am also a guest poet at the Platform 2 event at The Station Hotel, Gloucester.

It’s a privilege that I am fortunate enough to be a part of such a wonderful community of poets and writers and not only perform my poetry but also brand and market the society and festival.

Any wall or space can be transformed with large scale art, which is a key motivator for staff and can reduce work related stress. I also accept private commissions for paintings, sketches and illustrations.

As a published poet I write about the joys of nature and the human devastation of it. I also write poems for brands and businesses to engage their audiences in new and more thought provoking ways.
